For a grown-ups only holiday check out our recommended sites just for adults

This lovely, 11 pitch adult-only campsite is just a few minutes' walk from the village, with pubs, restaurants, shops and lovely riverbank walks. Keal Lodge is set on the edge of flat to rolling countryside, ideal for walking and cycling. On site you can enjoy fully serviced pitches with a motorhome waste point and large exercise paddock for dogs available. The rural location of the site makes it ideal for relaxing, tranquil breaks but a bus service and car hire are available for when you want to explore off site. The lovely, historic town of Stamford is a short distance away and for walks, cycle routes and watersports there’s Rutland Water. The cathedral city of Peterborough is also easily accessible.

In the heart of the beautiful Somerset countryside, this adults only touring park offers a relaxing atmosphere and is close to some major historical attractions. The city of Wells is within walking distance where you can visit the spectacular cathedral and Bishop's Palace. There’s also Wookey Hole with its magical caves, Cheddar Gorge, and Glastonbury and Bath with their grand architecture. With public transport access being easy if required, there’s no excuse for not getting out and exploring. The site has grass or all-weather pitches with electric. The spacious facilities block with its under-floor heating is great for winter visits. There’s also a laundry and dishwashing and reception stocks basic essentials. A new feature on site is 'The Lounge' - a licensed coffee/bar area serving hot/cold drinks. Additional extras include pentanque courts and a beauty room.

Long Acres Touring Park, with its warm and friendly atmosphere, is perfect for those wishing to get away from their normal busy life, chill out and relax in peace and tranquillity. This five-star, adults only site offers 40 level pitches, all with hardstanding and 10A electric hook-up. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, and there is a small exercise area on site. Facilities-wise, the site has a modern, heated toilet block, a separate wheelchair-friendly wash/shower room, plus an inside dishwashing area and laundry facilities. Boston is a local market town, just eight miles away, offering shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. For a day at the coast, why not travel just 17 miles to the town of Skegness.

Situated on Suffolk's beautiful heritage coast near the small market town of Woodbridge, this adult only, family-run campsite is in a pleasant parkland setting. Run Cottage Touring Park offers 45 pitches, all with electric hook-ups, 6 hardstanding, 15 serviced pitches and glamping pods. There's attractive landscaping throughout, with flower beds and an ornate lily pond. This lovely, rural site is ideally situated for walking, cycling and bird watching. It has a dog exercise area and superb modern toilet block. The village shop and pub are within easy walking distance. The campsite is just 1½ miles from a shingle beach and close to the fantastic RSPB Minsmere coastal nature reserve and the National Trust's Sutton Hoo historical site.

Deep in the heart of Exmoor National Park lies the award-winning Exe Valley Caravan Site. Nestling among a fold of trees, with the Mill House as its backdrop, it is beautiful, peaceful, clean, and happy. This adults-only site is set on four acres of well-kept grass and hardstandings. Each of the 50 pitches is either situated next to the River Exe or the gentle mill stream. There are ample electric and television hook-ups, as well as an on-site shop and heated toilet blocks. Opposite is the Badgers Holt inn, which serves real ale and good bar food. Red deer, kingfishers and otters can be spotted from the campsite.
