• What Driving Licence Do I Need to Drive a Motorhome?

  In most cases, you can drive a motorhome on a standard UK driving licence, but it depends on the weight of the vehicle.

  If you passed your test after 1 January 1997, you can usually drive motorhomes up to 3,500kg (Category B). This covers many compact and mid-sized models, including a lot of popular coach built motorhomes.

  If you want to drive a larger motorhome over 3,500kg, you may need to take an additional test to gain a C1 entitlement. This allows you to drive heavier vehicles, which typically include larger, more spacious motorhomes with extra features and storage.

• How Much Does a Motorhome Cost in the UK?

  Motorhome prices in the UK vary widely depending on age, size, and specification.

  You can find older used motorhomes from as little as around £5,000, which are often higher mileage or older models that may need some upkeep. At the other end of the scale, brand new, fully equipped motorhomes can cost £60,000 to £150,000+, with luxury models going even higher.
