Compass is a popular caravan brand with award-winning models. All the latest models for 2023 are 8ft wide and you can choose from two single-axle layouts and two twin-axle layouts.
The new Camino 668 is a six-berth, twin-axle model with a fixed French bed layout and a bunk bed beside it. The bedroom configuration at the rear is unique to Compass and is perfect for families with younger children. The bunk beds have their own lights, windows and curtains for privacy.
Next to the bedroom, there is a washroom with a separate shower cubicle on the opposite side and, if you wanted, this could be used as an en suite instead. There is a new washroom design and it holds a new Alde radiator, drop-down clothes airer, a Thetford toilet and chrome-style accessories.
It also has many mod cons, with an Ecocamel Orbit water-saving halo showerhead, which has built-in Aircore technology, a high-flow submersible pump, which turns off when the water runs out with its intelligent controller and inline filter, and a stylish basin.
A Dometic 10-series fridge, Thetford oven/grill and microwave sit in the kitchen area, with a worktop extension, cutlery tray and multi-speed Omnivent, which extracts and blows air. There is also an external gas barbecue point for any al fresco dining.
The front lounge can convert into a large double bed at night-time, completing the six berths in this caravan. You’ll be snug thanks to the new Alde Compact 3030 boiler and, if you want to relax, there’s TV points and a Pioneer radio compatible with iPhone and Android. A free-standing dining table with allocated storage locations and a removable chest of drawers with pull-out table extension provides all the space you might need.
There are plenty of charging ports for the kids’ tablets and your phone, including a twin USB charging point and wireless charger with two USB outlets. It has LED lighting and plenty of storage throughout, with extra-deep drawers, under-bed space and wardrobes.
For safety and security, this caravan comes with a CRiS security system, a Tracker (which includes the first 12 months’ subscription), high-security external door locks, two wheel locks and an Al-Ko side-mounted jack.
Other features which are included with this caravan are Grade III thermal insulation, flyscreens, Stargazer rooflight, privacy curtains or room dividers and a 40-litre on-board water tank, giving 80 litres of continuous water supply and much more.
Casita 840
Specifications
Price:
£31,849
Layout:
Rear French double
Berths:
6
MIRO:
1,545kg
MTPLM:
1,725kg
Another twin-axle perfect for a family, the Casita 840 has enough space for six people to sleep. This is thanks to the fixed French double bed, lounge seating creating two singles or a large double, and the side dinette, which can become another two berths at night.
You can relax in the spacious lounge at the front with its parallel sofas, speakers and dedicated TV points. It provides a spacious place for the whole family to relax, have dinner or entertain.
The washroom sits at the back of this model next to the fixed double and has a fully lined shower cubicle with shower screen, polished chrome fittings, domestic-effect cabinet and a vanity area. A well-equipped kitchen is positioned in between the bedroom and lounge, and having the side dinette allows extra space for the kids to eat or play.
As well as a sleek, modern design throughout, this model comes with Teleco Teleplus directional aerial, Pioneer radio, which is compatible with Android and iPhone, speakers, screw-free awning rails, security system and much more.
Capiro 520
Specifications
Price:
£29,349
Layout:
End washroom
Berths:
2
MIRO:
1,219kg
MTPLM:
1,345kg
Perfect for a couple to holiday in, the stylish Capiro 520 has two berths and a large washroom/dressing area to get ready in. The washroom is positioned at the end of the caravan and holds a separate shower cubicle, plenty of storage with shelving, cabinets and drawers, washbowl basin and backlit vanity mirror.
This single-axle model comes with plenty of features, including a large LED awning light, external barbecue point, USB charging points and ActivCare upholstery which looks good and is easy to keep clean.
Using exclusive ‘Easy Glide’ bed technology, making it easier to convert, the long lounge seating transforms into the beds at night. They can be used as two single beds or one large double, whichever is preferred. In the living area there is also a removable chest of drawers with pull-out table extension, a free-standing table, TV points and LED lighting throughout. This model also comes with a Thetford oven/grill, microwave and Dometic fridge in the kitchen. As well as being well lit with energy-saving LED downlights, it has a rooflight with flyscreen and blind and feature lighting under the worktop.
