Pear Tree Holiday Park

661b7561-6531-4188-b07f-a28c30591374

Perfectly-positioned for exploring the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, Pear Tree Holiday Park is a quiet sheltered country park.

The MMM Premier Park is a peaceful and safe family-friendly touring caravan and camping park situated near the towns of Poole, Bournemouth, Weymouth and Swanage. It is extremely close to the Dorset Jurassic Coast which boasts many popular attractions.

There are 154 pitches set on terraces which are individually numbered and allocated upon booking. All pitches have 10 amp electric hook-ups, together with super pitches which have water supply and grey water drainage. There's also a separate tent field and the park can cater for motorhomes up to 10 metres in length (make sure you advise of this when booking). A good number of the park's pitches face west so have the sun for the best part of the day.

Facilities include a toilet and shower block (refurbished in 2010), including private washing areas, baby changing and bathing. A laundry facility is available with washing machines, tumble dryers and ironing facilities. Situated near to the entrance of the park is the reception and shop which stocks basic foods as well as camping equipment, sweets and ice cream. To keep children busy there's an enclosed play park with a good range of play equipment including swings and climbing frames and plenty of green space to run around and work off some energy in a safe environment.

For evening meals a family pub is located a few minutes walk from the park and buses to Poole and Swanage stop just outside the park gate for when you wish to travel further afield.

The location of the park means it is handy for the Purbeck Hills and stunning beaches of the area that form part of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Lulworth Cove offers a leisurely walk along the coastline and challenging hills. Lulworth is also close to Kimmeridge, famous for its rocky shore and fossils. Another great wonder near to Lulworth is Durdle Door with its natural limestone arch. This is a beautiful place to have a picnic, sunbathe and go swimming. Chesil Beach is another amazing natural wonder and is worth a visit for its beauty and the 18 miles of beach. The market town of Wareham which still holds a market on Thursdays and Saturdays. Wareham Town Museum boasts a section about T.E. Lawrence as he visited Wareham regularly during his late years.

Studland & Godlingstone Heath Nature Reserve, South of Poole has outstanding wildlife interest supporting a wide variety of habitats. The reserve is of international nature conservation significance. All six British reptile species can be found here and there are large wildfowl populations. Nearby towns with more attractions for you to visit are Poole, Weymouth, Swannage and Bournemouth.
