Broadway House Caravan Park

e984da44-7fbb-4ebe-bd8e-1334e2be53a5
An attractive woodland site geared around active families and close to scenic Cheddar Gorge.

Within walking distance of the Cheddar Gorge and near the M5, this MMM Premier Park has gently sloping pitches on either gravel or grass. Hedgerows and trees separate the various different fields and create a pleasant woodland feel to the place. The majority of pitches include mains connections for electricity and there are hardstanding pitches for motorhomes of all sizes.

All pitches have access to free shower and toilet facilities and there are a number of free individual private family shower rooms available with shower, toilet and sink. We also have individual private family bathrooms available with bath, toilet and sink available at an additional cost. There are disabled toilet and washroom facilities available and wheelchair access to the bar, restaurant and pool area.

Other facilities on this park include an outdoor heated swimming pool (open April to September), crazy golf and table tennis, laundry facilities, payphone, arcade machines and children's adventure playground. A large well stocked convenience shop, and licensed bar and restaurant serving good quality food will ensure you can have everything you need without venturing off the park. The restaurant also serves snacks and takeaway food and evening entertainment is available in high season.

It's the facilities for kids where Broadway House really excels itself. There is a massive outdoor play park (plus a toddler version), as well as a BMX track and skateboard park and a crazy golf course. Dotted around the site are several table tennis tables, together with areas for more relaxing games, such as boules and croquet.

Close to the park is the picturesque village of Cheddar. There are numerous pubs, restaurants and cafes to enjoy local food and ale. Cheddar cheese originated from this village and you can still see history in the making at the Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company in the heart of the village.

Cheddar caves and gorge are a spectacular tourist attraction with plenty to do above and below ground. Nearby are Wookey Hole and Ebbor Gorge. Wookey Hole Caves are on the outskirts of Wells and the site has show caves, a paper mill and a museum. For the walker and rambler, the gorge provides numerous signposted paths and nature trails and climbing to the tops of the cliffs to give stunning views of the Mendips and the surrounding countryside.

It is only a short drive to the coast where the traditional seaside resorts of Burnham on Sea and Weston-super-Mare offer miles of sandy beaches.

Whether you’re looking for a handy base for the local tourist attractions or want to visit the nearby towns of Bristol or Bath, this site is well placed. Equally, if you’re just looking for an all-in-one site and don’t want to have to drive again after you’ve arrived, then you’ll find plenty to do at Broadway House.
