Keela reports record-breaking year
Scottish outdoor clothing brand, Keela, has seen a 43% increase in sales and a 30% increase in its workforce in a record-breaking year for the brand
The success of the brand has also been bolstered by a number of recent award wins, including an Early Day Motion from the UK Government in recognition of its efforts in supporting the NHS by producing PPE gowns during the Covid pandemic; plus, a People’s Choice Award for Scotland in the 2022 Family Business of the Year Awards; and a double award win in the PCIAW Awards 2022, claiming the Best PPE Accessory and Nearshore Manufacturing Award.
Its continued success has allowed Keela to expand its CSR (corporate social responsibility) initiatives, including Bright Friday, which sees the brand donating 15% of its website sales over the Black Friday period to children’s charity, Cash For Kids.
Keela has also taken a fresh approach to sustainability with its recently launched Legacy Project. As well as the Keela Hospital initiative, which has been repairing customers’ items since the 1980s, the Legacy Project promotes the longevity of Keela clothing through repairing, recycling and repurposing clothing items to avoid landfill.
