A vast array of leisure, fitness, spa, family entertainment and eating opportunities awaits discovery at Ribby Hall Village

This is a very special place; it’s the only holiday village in the northwest to have attained five-star status from VisitBritain, and has won a string of accreditations from other well-known awards schemes.

The family-established, prestigious village this year celebrates 30 years. It is set in 130 acres and is less than a mile from one of Lancashire’s most picturesque villages.

Holiday homes and lodges for sale here span a wide price range, from £59,000 to over £400,000. They are arranged in various areas, some close to the facilities, and some in an exclusive, secluded area surrounding a lake.

Buying a holiday home anywhere on the village gets you a panoply of activities on your doorstep. Among these are the spa facilities at the village’s Spa Hotel, plus a wide range of beauty treatments. The Spa Hotel is the 2023 winner of the Good Spa Award for the Best Day Spa in the UK, its Orangery restaurant has AA two-rosette status.

Holiday home owners get discounts at the spa and across the village, including in the eateries – there are seven altogether. These include the Terrazza Italian restaurant with an outdoor terrace and classic pub favorites at The Hive entertainment complex.

There’s plenty to do on rainy days here, with a swimming pool complex that features a tropical-themed family pool, hot tubs, sauna, steam room, and an adults-only pool. There’s also a gym, badminton, tennis and squash, plus yoga studios and fitness classes.

Outdoor facilities include a nine-hole golf course, adventure golf, three adventure play areas, and a woodland walk. There’s The Island, with pedal boats to hire, and cycle hire is available. Alongside this myriad of activities is something for children of all ages: Wild Discovery, home to a host of animals including sloths, capybaras, Arctic foxes, Scottish wildcats, Asian short-clawed otters and even reindeer.

Owning a holiday home here, you’d possibly want to spend most of your leisure time enjoying the awesome range of activities at the village. But when you do want to venture away, there’s a long stretch of sand and dunes at St Annes, a Victorian pier, and the character town of Lytham, all around 15 minutes’ drive away. A short drive further takes you to Blackpool, home to West End shows, an art gallery, the fascinating architecture of Blackpool Opera House, Empress Ballroom and Winter Gardens – and, of course, the seafront.
