Langcliffe Park, Settle

Considered to be the most beautiful railway journey in England, the Settle to Carlisle Railway crosses the Ribblehead Viaduct (picture above, credit Visit Britain/MattCant) with incredible views of the Dales. Langcliffe Park is just one mile from Settle station and 30 minutes from the viaduct. The site has electric hook-ups, toilets, showers and a laundry.

Hawes Caravan and Motorhome Club Site, Hawes

Hawes Caravan and Motorhome Club Site

Set in Wensleydale, between the River Ure and the market town of Hawes. There are hardstanding pitches with electric, plus toilets and showers, a dog walk and games room. Under two miles away is England’s largest single drop waterfall, Hardraw Force, and 20 minutes away is Arten Gill viaduct.

Wood Nook Caravan Park, Skipton

With six acres of woodlands, wildlife and walks, Wood Nook is a picturesque spot. Small campervans are welcome on grass pitches (weather permitting) and there are gravel pitches, too, both with electric. Facilities include toilets, showers, a washing up area and play area. Malham Cove is a 30-minute drive away – a curved limestone cliff formation, some 260ft high.

Constable Burton Hall Caravan Park, Leyburn

Constable Burton Hall occupies 10 acres of parkland in Wensleydale within the grounds of the hall. Grass pitches with electric, along with two toilet and shower blocks and a laundry. A 20-minute drive from the site is historic Bolton Castle. As well as the castle to explore there are gardens, a falconry and even a wild boar park.

Masons Campsite, Skipton

A dog-friendly riverside site in the village of Appletreewick, on the banks of the River Wharfe. All pitches are grass and have electric hook-up as standard. Site facilities include a small shop, river fishing, boules court and the ‘coffee & bread shed’. 20 minutes’ drive away is Bolton Abbey where you can explore the romantic Priory ruins.

Old Station Caravan Park, Masham

Situated just outside the market town of Masham where you’ll find two well-known brewers, Theakston and Black Sheep – both of which offer brewery tours and shops to peruse. The site is part of a former railway station and pitches are situated on flat grass or hardstandings, with some hook-ups available.

High Moor Farm Park, Harrogate
 

With the pretty town of Harrogate just four miles away, High Moor Farm is on the edge of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the Dales. The site has grass or hardstanding pitches with electric, a bar serving food, a nine-hole golf course, shop, indoor pool and fishing. Nearby is the pretty Royal Horticultural Society’s Garden, Harlow Carr (10 minutes’ drive away).

Orchard Caravan Park, Reeth

Next to the River Swale on the edge of Reeth village, which is located on the Wainwright Coast to Coast Route, James Herriot Way and the Inn Way. There are grass pitches with electric. A 30-minute drive away is Aysgarth Falls, a pretty triple flight of waterfalls on the River Ure.

Black Swan Holiday Park, Masham

Just two miles from Masham, set in the village of Fearby. The campsite is part of the 17th century bar and restaurant, so food and drink is good! There are lots of walks from the site, to Masham Wetlands and Jervaulx Abbey, for example. The site has grass and super pitches with countryside views.

Studfold Caravan, Camping and Glamping Park, Lofthouse

Fountains Abbey

Set in Nidderdale, surrounded by countryside, Studfold offers adventure trails, outdoor activities and a pop-up café. The site consists of two acres of flat grassland with hook-ups available. There’s a toilet block and a small shop. The National Trust’s Fountains Abbey is a 40-minute drive away. Here you’ll find abbey ruins and a pretty water garden.

Bolton Abbey Estate Caravan and Motorhome Club Site, Skipton

Part of the Bolton Abbey Estate, this Club site is located in an open glade surrounded by woodland. The site attracts a lot of wildlife and there are miles of walks easily accessible from the Bolton Abbey site. The pitches are hardstandings with electric, and facilities include an on-site dog walk, as well as toilets and showers.

Woodclose Park, Kirkby Lonsdale

Located in the valley of the River Lune, close to Kirkby Lonsdale, White Scar Cave and Ingleton Falls. An abundance of walking and cycling routes on the doorstep. All pitches are fully serviced hardstandings and facilities include wetroom-style showers, a laundry and site shop.
