Tent retailer sees 191% increase in demand
As holidaymakers rushed to find alternative arrangements amidst airport chaos this summer, the outdoor adventure retailer also saw a number of spikes in its search data.
When Ryanair announced a series of strikes on 12 June, the retailer saw a 100% spike in demand compared to the three days prior; a 41% increase for the two weeks following 12 July, when Heathrow Airport announced a daily cap on passenger capacity; and a 34% increase in demand following British Airways’ announcement that it would be suspending short-haul ticket sales between 2-15 August.
Established by outdoor enthusiasts, the Dartmoor-based retailer offers a range of exclusively designed camping and outdoor products, including tents, dome shelters, camping chairs, sleeping equipment and accessories.
