Super Sparrow Explore review
We all need to ensure that we keep hydrated and that’s much easier if you keep a convenient container in the car or cab while you’re on the road – and better still, if it’s easy and practical to carry when you’re walking, or even just out shopping. You want something sturdy, in case you drop it, but a container that’s lightweight, too.
Don’t be tempted to reuse plastic water bottles, which are usually only designed to be used once (very wasteful and unenvironmental), and can leach toxic chemicals when used repeatedly. However, some of the reusable drinks bottles we’ve had in the past are also hard to sip from on the go and can cause embarrassing spillages on your clothes.
It was definitely time to try something new in the editorial kit and the new Explore range from Super Sparrow fits the bill perfectly. Available in 350ml, 500ml and 750ml sizes, and in a variety of pattens depicting different outdoor activities (ours shows a hiker), this bottle is made from premium food-grade stainless steel. Its new construction is claimed to reduce weight by 25% (great when hiking, appropriately), and yet, despite weighing just 337g, it can keep cold drinks cold for 24 hours and your cappuccino suitably hot for half as long.
We’ve gone for the version with the straw lid, which is super-easy to drink from when you’re in a hurry and have just one hand free. The hook handle on the lid makes it easy to carry if you’re not using a rucksack, too.
All in all, a great addition to our gear.
