Rhyl takes top CS honour
The Club, with sponsorship from clothing brand Regatta, launched the Best CS competition last year to recognise and encourage rising standards in its 1,200-strong CS network.
CSs are exclusive to the 400,000 members of The Camping and Caravanning Club, and accept up to five caravans or motorhomes at any one time, and as many tents as space permits. All provide facilities which, at the minimum, include fresh water and a chemical toilet disposal point, but many offer toilets, showers, electric hook-up, and a whole lot more.
As long-standing members of the Club, John and Rita know how to cater for the needs of campers and caravanners. Members' comments include: "We couldn't have chosen a nicer site. The garden is rich with flowers, they have a water feature, and wild birds are everywhere"; "The most friendly and helpful site I have visited in over 30 years"; and "A gem of a site. A rural retreat in an urban area".
The couple were presented with their prize at the National Boat, Caravan & Outdoor Show at the NEC in Birmingham.
