Now you can camp for free if it rains!
Rain? It’s all part of the summer camping experience, surely? But, if it all gets too much, you might want to remember this offer from major site operator Park Holidays UK.
It says it will give families a free two-night pitch if it rains continuously for two hours or more during your stay at any of its seven sites across Devon, Essex, Kent and Sussex that offer tent camping, all of which are close to beaches. Each site also provides a range of other attractions, like indoor swimming pools.
If you think the two-hour rain gamble is a big one, it counters: “When rain is forecast for areas in southern England, the coast often remains dry as clouds are swept inland to release their payload.”
Also, for a limited period, Park Holidays is dropping dog surcharges. A further incentive is a free pack of food and drink vouchers worth £30 for use in its cafés, bars and restaurants, for anyone making a mid-week booking outside school holidays.
