Campsite offers a little slice of Devon

April sees the opening of a new campsite near Okehampton in Devon, a location convenient for Dartmoor and both north and south Devon coasts.
 
Appledore Park opens on 1 April 2014 to caravans, tents and motorhomes. With good access to the A30, it aims to offer “everything to the modern caravan and camper”.
 
“We have been able to install every facility that today’s camper has come to expect” says owner Rebecca Webb. The terrain has been landscaped to create level pitches, with electricity and water at hand, overlooking farmland, woodland and a lake.
 
Over 4500 native deciduous trees have been planted, and a new heated utility building promises ‘tip top’ showers and toilets. The site includes wheelchair-accessible facilities, a dedicated dishwashing and veg prep area, and a tourist information point. Appledore Park is endorsed by the Dartmoor Tourist Partnership and awarded four stars by Visit England.
 
This new Devon campsite offers seasonal pitches and caravan storage, and say that rallies are welcome.
