Augmented reality allows buyers to visualise Olpro camping products in their garden
Olpro has implemented a new augmented reality service that enables its customers to see how tents, campervan and caravan awnings would fit in their own garden.
The feature, provided by size.link allows users to see Olpro’s products through their phone in real size. This is useful for customers who are looking to use their products in the garden while socially distancing, but are unsure as to whether the product would fit in the space available.
When visiting the ‘Dimensions & Details’ section of the products on Olpro’s website, users can complete a simple three-stage process that allows them to visualise the product through augmented reality.
Users need to click the button ‘see the size now’, open the weblink or QR code that appears and then select ‘view in your space’.
Olpro launched the new augmented reality service to coincide with The Stay Home National Camping and Caravanning Week running from Monday, 25 May to Sunday, 31 May 2020.
Daniel Walton, Founder of Olpro, said: “The idea of camping out in the garden has been hugely popular throughout this lockdown period and has been a clear sign that 2020 will be the year of the staycation. As countries from across Europe begin to ease their lockdown restrictions, we’re beginning to see a huge increase in demand for our products. However, we are still encouraging our customers to be extra careful in planning their travels away and remain safe at all times. Our new augmented reality service will be perfect for those who are taking part in the Stay Home National Camping and Caravanning Week, and for those who will prefer to keep a social distance and camp in the garden.”
