Unique motorhome goes up for auction
A bespoke motorhome with an anticipated price of £250,000 has gone up for auction.
‘The Nomad’ is a custom-built, one-of-a-kind, motorhome designed to accommodate six people. It features a roof terrace and heated garage, along with a high-spec kitchen – fitted with a dishwasher and wine cooler – and a living area that has a slide extension.
The motorhome was built in 2016 by Whittaker Coachbuilders, on a 26-tonne Mercedes-Benz Actros. It’s 12 metres in length and 2.5 metres wide, and has fully automatic transmission, road friendly suspension and rear axle steering. It’s been configured in left-hand drive.
Lee Mabbutt, head of vehicles at John Pye Auctions, said: “This is one of the finest bespoke motorhomes that I’ve ever seen and I’m confident that it’s the most exciting to have hit the market in recent times.
“The estimated price represents a massive saving on new and the vehicle has only travelled 10,500kms. It is the absolute dream for those who enjoy travelling independently and it’s completely purpose-built for fans of winter sports.”
‘The Nomad’ went to auction with John Pye on Thursday 28 November, and will conclude on Friday 17 December. Viewing is by appointment only at the John Pye Auctions site in Marchington, Uttoxeter.
