Essential Guide to Camping 2025: Vango
Vango, the popular camping manufacturer based in Scotland, has announced a brand-new range of tents for the 2025 camping season, building on its previous success to create truly advanced products with its Excel range.
The Excel range includes two four-person tents and two six-person tents, each available as either a poled or AirBeam option. With a deep green hue that will blend perfectly into forest environments, stepping into a Sherwood tent (which comprise the Excel range) feels like a breath of fresh air.

Vango highlights for 2025
- New Dynamic Weave 100 fabric. Crosshatch of 75D and 100D yarns to provide excellent
strength-to-weight ratio. It has a 4,000mm hydrostatic head and superb UV resistance
qualities with the ColourLok Eco technology - ColourLok Eco technology increases colour retention while using up to 60% less water in
the dyeing process - The Sentinel Dynamic Weave 100 range is Vango’s core collection which makes up the
family camping range in 2025, and encompasses tents for couples and small families who
take part in larger camping adventures - Excel fabric is a 150D stylish, embossed fabric with a 5,000mm hydrostatic head. It
possesses excellent UV damage resistance with ColourLok Eco technology - The new Excel range of tents includes four Sherwood tents available in four and six-person
with either poled or AirBeam® models available. These tents sit at the top end of Vango’s
camping range with a number of higher-end features
Savannah 600XL
For families who love to camp in comfort and style, the Savannah 600XL tent is perfect. Winner of the Out & About Live 2025 Camping Awards Best Family Tent category, this exceptionally designed six-man poled tent has a range of features to enhance the camping experience.
The Savannah 600XL is built with innovative Dynamic Weave 100 technology, combining 75D and 100D fabric fibres. This interweaving creates a tent that boasts an impressive strength-to-weight ratio, making it lightweight yet remarkably durable. With a waterproof rating of 4,000mmHH, rainy weather will no longer put a damper on your camping plans.
Plus, thanks to ColourLok Eco technology used in the dyeing process, you can expect superb UV resistance, ensuring your tent will look fantastic year after year.
One of the standout features is the spacious design, standing at over two meters tall, with an integrated front awning, you and your family can easily move around inside without feeling cramped. Large Diamond Clear windows flood the living space with natural light during the day and, when night falls, simply roll up the curtains to create a cosy atmosphere. Also, the Midnight Bedroom feature is designed specifically to enhance your sleep quality so you can wake up refreshed and ready to explore more.
In hot summer conditions ventilation is easily managed with mesh doors and AirZone panels, allowing for fresh air circulation throughout the tent while keeping bugs at bay. The tent’s large front door can also be unzipped partially or fully, providing flexibility based on the weather conditions.

Sherwood Air 600XL
The Sherwood Air 600XL is a six-man AirBeam® tent with an integrated front awning that adds extra living space. This spacious tent is quick and easy to pitch using the unique inflatable AirBeam® structure and the pump provided, allowing you to pitch your tent in minutes.
A covered side entrance helps keep you dry from the elements, and an extended living area ensures a perfect space for socialising, or storing kit. The Sherwood is part of the Excel collection, which features a highly waterproof and durable 150D embossed fabric, boasting a 5,000mm hydrostatic head.
The Excel collection also utilises ColourLok technology, designed to increase fabric colour retention against UV light. Features include king-size Midnight Bedrooms, a premium darkened fabric used in bedrooms to allow for a great and comfortable night’s sleep with plenty of space.
The Sherwood Air 600XL is also compatible with the optional Universal Inner, which offers an additional sleeping or storage area in your tent living area.

Sierra Air 300
The Sierra Air 300 is a three-man AirBeam® tent for couples looking for a well-proportioned, stand-up height tent with internal and external living areas, plus a bit of extra room for the dog or additional storage space.
With a focus on ventilation, this tent has multiple mesh panels incorporated throughout, with an additional mesh panel behind the bedrooms to maximise airflow and keep your tent cool on warm breaks.
Sentinel Dynamic Weave 100 fabric keeps pack size and weight low, while ensuring Vango quality and durability.
King-size Midnight Bedrooms ensure a great and comfortable night’s sleep, with plenty of space for each person. The preattached front canopy provides a great area for dining and relaxing, offering extra living space and a real outdoors feel.
