Going through Poland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia and Italy, from the Polish Baltic coast to Trieste on the Adriatic coast, this is one of Europe's longest hiking routes.
The Wolf Trail connects existing European long-distance hiking routes, including E1, E9, and the Via Alpina, into one gigantic, continuous route spanning across diverse landscapes and terrains.
Jason Isenberg, Director of Marketing said
The Wolf Trail is not only set to become one of the most well-known long-distance hiking routes in the world, but it is also suitable for people with a moderate fitness level.
Our mission is to support hikers with a wide variety of route plans – from day hikes to 3,000-4,000 kilometre journeys – and the Wolf Trail enables us to do exactly that.
Throughout the year, Jack Wolfskin offers five long-distance hiking events along the Wolf Trail. These take place on the Polish Baltic coast (23-26 April), on Rügen (13-17 May), around Siegen (3-7 June), in the Black Forest (12-16 August), and in the Alps (7-13 September).
The company makes clear this isn’t just for those looking to do it in one stage, the trail can be explored flexibly.
Ambassador hikers, Timothy Larsen, Elina Osborne, Lauren Roerick, and German thru-hiker Marc Hügel, will hike the entire route. They will be sharing their journey with the community through social media content and encounters at events along the trail.
