Why the Coleman Packaway Table & Bench Set?

Simple camping dining table and bench combos like this used to be commonplace on campsites, but in recent years they have become a little less popular, with many campers choosing to mix and match their tables and chairs.

However, this set-up is perfect for family camping, especially when car storage space is at a premium. The new Packaway, err, packs away neatly into its own carry case which is light to move and a lot less bulky than trying to pack a table and four individual chairs.

Ideal for small family holidays, the durable steel frame construction is quick and easy to set up inside or outside your tent, and is robust enough for adults and kids.

The benches can be neatly clipped under the tabletop for portability. Both the tabletop and benches are UV treated for outdoor use and the table also has an antibacterial treatment to keep it clean.

This is something a little different – a folding camping table that is designed for communal dining on the campsite.

This hexagonal-shaped table can comfortably seat six people and has a centre section that can be raised to create more space and a net to hold smaller items, such as condiments. The adjustable legs let you change the the height of the table.

Our verdict

A sturdy and stable surface that's big and high enough for four people to sit at and eat together.

It has a wipe-clean laminate top that is heat resistant to 180° C, so is perfect for preparing and serving hot food. The table packs down flat into a carry case, which can be easily stowed in your car boot.
