Why the Coleman Convoy Cooler?
We’ve all cast a covetous eye at those heavy-duty Yeti coolboxes, much beloved of social media influencers. Yes, they look cool but, my word, they are expensive! Well, the new collection of coolers from Coleman is the affordable alternative. Robust and stylish, the Convoy range comes in three sizes – with the mid-sized 53-litre version coming in at around half the price of its nearest Yeti equivalent.
The lower price doesn’t mean lower quality. In fact, the Convoy’s performance is as good as its looks. As well as being fitted with additional rubber seals that keep your food and drink colder for longer, it includes extra features such as a built-in bottle opener, rugged wheels and rope handles.
The Convoy coolers also have integrated antibacterial linings to prevent fungal growth. And it’s not just a cooler. The robust construction means it’s strong enough to double as a seat, supporting up to 110kg.

Our verdict
Whether you use it in your tent or carry it out on a walk, this is a great way to keep your food and drink cool. Even packed with drinks and food for a family, it is surprisingly comfortable, with back padding, padded shoulder straps and an adjustable chest strap.
A waterproof front pocket, two side pockets and two mesh pockets provide extra space for carrying other items while you’re out on the hills.
