Haggerston hosts a big squeeze

THE average static caravan may not exactly be a Tardis, but owners and holidaymakers at Haggerston Castle Holiday Park at Berwick-Upon-Tweed recently proved that space does seem to expand once you get inside an Owners Exclusive holiday home.

In an attempt to set a new world record, an incredible 126 people tucked themselves into one of Haggerston’s homes – and the only reason it was that few was because the park ran out of volunteers. There was still room to spare in the Atlas Sahara.

“It was a wonderful experience for our park team, owners and holidaymakers", said Donal O’Sullivan, Haggerston’s general manager.

“Unfortunately, only the Guinness Book of Records can verify an attempt so it’s not a foregone conclusion that we’ve broken the record – it all depends on how they assess our application.

“Whatever happens,” he added, “I think we’ve managed to demonstrate just how big our holiday homes are, and had a lot of fun on the way.”

Owners Exclusive has just introduced six new models to the range available for prospective buyers – The Willerby New Horizon and Granada, Swift Moselle, Cosalt Riverdale and Studio Extra and Atlas Debonair Super.

The homes are available at 33 of Bourne Leisure’s Haven and British Holidays parks situated in coastal and rural locations throughout the UK. Prices for homes at the parks range from about £12,000 to £50,000.
