About Dethleffs
You might find it hard to believe but Dethleffs started out as a whip manufacturer, back in 1832. Almost a century afterwards, Arist Dethleffs built his first caravan so that his family could travel with him on business, selling whips. Serial production of caravans only started in 1956, with the first motorhome arriving in 1983, then an A-class six years later.
The company’s ‘Friend of the family’ motto was introduced in 1995 and its McRent hire business began in 2004. Today, Dethleffs’ range in the UK includes Globebus (compact A-class), Just Go (new Ford-based low-profiles), Trend (low-profiles and A-class), Pulse (A-class), Pulse Classic 90 (low-profiles), Esprit (A-class), Alpa (large, luxury rear lounge motorhomes), Globetrotter XLI (flagship A-classes) and Globetrotter XXL (super-sized overcab on Iveco). On the Continent, the company has also introduced a range of campervans but these are not yet available in the UK.

Trend is Dethleffs’ entry-level low-profile offering on a Fiat chassis and is the perfect choice for those who are looking to purchase their first motorhome.
The Trend T 7057 EB is a four-berth aimed at families who are looking for more flexible holiday options and it represents great value for money with no compromise on driving performance. From the exterior, you’ll immediately notice its sporty look and aerodynamic overcab moulding (you can opt for a large window here if you wish).
The large rear garage will suit those who enjoy cycling (or other outdoor hobbies) and most e-bikes will fit in here, and you can access items stowed in here from both sides of the motorhome.
For sleeping comfort, all mattresses on fixed beds are made using a climate control material to keep you warm in winter and cool in the summer.
This model has twin beds to the rear and the option to add a drop-down bed above the lounge, and make the lounge seats into a further single. Plus, with an extra infill cushion, you can make the fixed single beds into a large double, but you will need the ladder to access the bed area.
When it comes to the kitchen, you’ll find it to be well-equipped with a tall 137-litre fridge with separate freezer compartment. The three-burner hob, coupled with the large work surface area, makes it perfect for cooking up a proper family meal and there’s storage aplenty.
For extra privacy, the spacious washroom with shower and toilet room has a door that closes off the bedroom and toilet from the living room. There’s also a sliding door to provide privacy from the bedroom, too.
The colour scheme throughout the motorhome is light and airy with a standard scheme of ‘Virginia Oak’ wood effect and the overall interior scheme is contrasting tones of earthy browns and cream called ‘Torcello’.

The I 6 Globebus is an impressive four-berth motorhome with twin beds to the rear and a pull-down bed above the driver’s cab. Considering its size, it's incredibly manoeuvrable and compact (only 2.20m wide) and built on a Fiat Ducato chassis.
When you’re not enjoying a lie-down, settle down in the L-shaped lounge and relax – the cushions are contoured for comfort, and a free-standing table can be introduced when it’s time to enjoy your evening meal. In the kitchen, there’s a two-burner gas hob with large refrigerator, and plenty of room to prepare food thanks to the worktop extension.
The washroom is an all-in-one affair, but a door closes off the rear from the front to create a private dressing area. You’ll love driving it, too, with excellent visibility, a result of the large panoramic window, and that A-class cab means there feels like there’s more room to spread out. Even long journeys will be a joy.

Discerning motorhomers will love the overcab Alpa A 6820-2 – it is truly luxurious and, with a high comfort level, touring is as enjoyable in the winter months as the summer. Underfloor heating and an excellent heating and hot water system will keep you cosy even if you’re touring in the winter months or, indeed, colder climes.
The U-shaped rear lounge has the most premium feel and the kitchen is so spacious, you’ll feel you’re in a boutique apartment rather than a home on wheels and, while it can sleep four comfortably, it’s an excellent choice for couples who like the finer things in life. And when it’s time to bid the day farewell, head up the folding staircase and into the generously proportioned overcab bed, which is a twin single bed format.
And while the standard model offers unrivalled luxury, there’s an abundance of optional extras including leather seating and more premium cabinetry.
