Norfolk park looks to expand

A proposed new development on adjoining land could see the number of park homes at Redhill Park  near Watton, Norfolk, increase by half in the future.

Some three dozen new plots have already been laid down within the existing park over the last six years. That brings the total number currently to 94, nearly all of them twins.

Part of the Lifestyle Living Group, Redhill is a mature, medium-size park on level ground with views over the surrounding fields but less than a mile from Watton town centre.

There has been a residential park-home estate here for more than 25 years. At one stage it was owned by park-home manufacturer Omar who are based at Brandon, just 12 miles away. So not surprisingly Omar models are in the majority here.
Lifestyle took over about five years ago. The Group comprises 29 parks in total spread across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland but only 10 of them are residential, the rest being holiday centres.

There used to be an airfield nearby but the only aircraft flying from there these days are gliders. So no problems with noise pollution.
A big attraction of Redhill is that although seemingly in the middle of the countryside it is only 10-15 minutes’ walk from Watton town centre.

Ground rent costs £200 per calendar month, with the minimum age of residents being 50. There are around 16 garages on site and pets are welcome. New homes start at £150,000.
