New expansion for Haulfryn

THE Haulfryn Group is expanding its holiday home offering for 2008 with the purchase of a number of sites in South West England and North Wales.

The acquisitions will see Haulfryn’s network of holiday sites grow to 21.

In North Wales, where Haulfryn’s holiday operation began over 70 years ago, the company has moved away from the traditional coastal hotspots for the first time with two inland locations.

Pen-y-garth is a 20-acre site on the edge of Snowdonia National Park and set in beautiful countryside only a mile from Lake Bala, the largest natural body of water in Wales and a centre for watersports and fishing enthusiasts.

The second new Welsh site is Woodlands Hall, a 60-acre development with hotel and restaurant on the outskirts of Ruthin, 22 miles from Chester.

Woodlands Hall Hotel is currently being refurbished and will reopen in Spring 2008, but the adjoining bar and restaurant is already open.

In South West England, Haulfryn has acquired three new sites and a golf course. In Devon, where Haulfryn already own the successful Finlake and Paignton holiday sites, the company has added Dartmoor View and Byslades.

Dartmoor View is a 16-acre parkland development situated between Okehampton and Exeter.

The development of an exclusive seven-acre area of just 42 homes within Dartmoor View has already begun.

Byslades, a 23-acre hillside park with outdoor pool, tennis court, adventure playground and mini-golf adjoins Haulfryn’s Paignton location on the English Riviera and will continue to be run as a touring park.

An addition to the group’s Cornish portfolio is Bossiney Farm, a small site on the coast near Tintagel.

Haulfryn now operates 21 holiday locations in North Wales and the South of England and 30 residential parks across the South of England.
