New caravan towing training centre opens in Kent
The Caravan and Motorhome Club has added a new driver training location in Sandwich, Kent, expanding its national network to 18 sites.
Expanding services to Kent
The Kent Training Centre, based near the southeast coast, will begin offering caravan towing and manoeuvring courses from 14 August, 2025. The expansion aims to make it easier for caravanners in the region to access training, particularly those new to towing or looking to refresh their skills.
The Club, which runs several towing courses across the UK, says the new site will offer its standard range of training options, including:
- Practical Caravanning – a 1.5-day course for beginners
- Caravan Manoeuvring – a one-day course covering hitching, reversing and handling
Each session includes reversing practice, towing advice and key safety and legal briefings.
Courses are open to anyone – not just Club members – and are led by experienced instructors.
The fees range from £188 to £218, with an additional discount for Club members; those who complete the training will also receive a free touring handbook.
