PITCHING
This is a large, relatively bulky, tunnel tent but the AirBeam inflation system makes it possible to be pitched by one person. In fact with a bit of practice you can have the tent standing in half the time it would take to pitch a similar tent with pole construction. The new inflation system, with the valve higher up, is easier to manage too – and involves less bending over!
 
LIVING
The main living area is already spacious but the built-in porch at the front provides even more space for you to cook, eat or just relax. The porch also has a small storage compartment where you can leave muddy boots or sandy flip-flops. There are large windows on both sides as well as plentiful ventilation – making it both bright and airy. There’s loads of space for furniture, especially as kitchen gear can be housed in the porch.
 
SLEEPING
The bedroom section is located at the rear of the tent and is in a straightforward 2-2-2 configuration, although you can zip out the divider to create one large room and one smaller. The doors have mesh panels and there is a ventilation panel at the rear to provide good air-flow. There are built-in storage pockets for small items like torches and books.
 
OUR VIEW
The Inspire is aptly named as this really is a tent that makes you want to hit the campsite. Having pioneered AirBeam tents in 2011, Vango continue to lead the way in developing the technology. For example, the new valve system in their 2015 models makes it easier to attach the pump, simplifying the pitching process further. This is a top of the range tent, spacious, expertly made and designed and a dream for a family planning a long break. It’s not cheap but think of it as a long term investment.
