A great-looking polycotton family tent that oozes quality and, thanks to inflatable technology, is quick and easy to pitch.
PRICE £ 1,574.99
With their sleek lines, quality materials and classy colour schemes, Robens tents always look and feel good, especially the range of larger family tents. And while for some of us the name might conjure up images of a salty old seadog, the Birdseye 500 is no exception.
It is a large, inflatable five-berth tent with a good-sized front porch that is an ideal spot for cooking under shelter. The front door – fitted with large PVC windows, zipped curtains and mesh backing – takes you into the living area, which is roomy and has plenty of headroom. The PVC window on the left side of the tent allows light to pour in and the side door opposite has a mesh backing, allowing you to generate more airflow in hot weather. .
In fact the cooling polycotton material, combined with extensive ventilation throughout, makes this a great option for overseas summer trips.
The bedroom compartment is divided in two, to sleep in a 3+2 configuration. Other features include a storage pocket panel, electricity cable entry port and a fully sewn-in groundsheet. Overall this is an impressive family tent, with all the quality materials and features you’d expect from a brand with the sort of technical background that Robens has.
