OUR VERDICT This popular inflatable tent has been enhanced with a polycotton outer fabric. It’s still great value for money
Smaller families looking for a good-value inflatable tent that still delivers on quality
One of Decathlon’s most popular inflatable tents has undergone an upgrade with a new polycotton outer fabric. The Quechua Air Seconds 6.3XL has been hugely popular over recent years, thanks to its combination of value for money and long-lasting quality. This new 2021 polycotton version takes it up a level.
The tent comes with a zip-in groundsheet, detachable tent carpet, darkened bedrooms and a detachable third bedroom all included. It boasts more than 11 sq m of living space and decent headroom, so it feels bright and spacious inside.
Access is via the large front door or through the side entrance – both have small canopies above the doorway to prevent rain running in. PVC and mosquito-proof mesh windows let in light but prevent bugs getting in and there are plenty of storage pockets to stash your gear.
Mesh panels at ground level in the darkened bedrooms can be guyed open allowing lots of ventilation in hot weather. Pitching is easy… simply roll it out, peg the corners and pump away. The groundsheet, bedrooms and guide ropes are already attached, making assembly and packing up a piece of cake.
Quality polycotton fabric at a good price; Easy to pitch; Plenty of ventilation for camping in warm weather
