PITCHING
This is a big, hefty tent, so it’s recommended that two people pitch it. That doesn’t mean it’s complicated – in fact, with multiple inflation points it’s simple. But you will need one person to do the hard inflating work and one to push the beams into shape as they fill with air. The front section needs to be zipped on before you start and is held up with steel poles.

LIVING
The front section, which has a drop down step at the door for safe access, makes a good dining space or the groundsheet can be removed completely to create a wet room/storage area. It leads through to the main living area, which has a sewn-in groundsheet, large tinted windows with toggle curtains, storage pockets and ventilation mesh above windows. The near-vertical walls and high ceiling mean there’s lots of space for furniture and storage throughout.

SLEEPING
The Premier-sized bedrooms are at the rear, with a zip divider allowing you to have two spacious sleeping areas (3+3) or one large room. The darkened NightSky material reduces external light in the evening and morning and a thermo-reflective coating is designed to keep temperatures down. A nice touch is a cable entry port that lets you bring mains power to your bedside. The rooms have storage pockets and an effective ventilation system with extra wide panels at rear and mesh panels on bedroom door.

OUR VIEW
Two large living rooms make the Clarkston a great choice for families who like to spend a lot of time on the campsite and around their tent. A quality build tent that provides flexible family accommodation. With two living rooms and a spacious sleeping area, it’s all about the comfort. Features like tinted windows, internal cable entry ports and excellent ventilation add to the luxury feel. If there’s a downside it’s the size and weight, but while this is certainly a large tent, it’s easy enough to pitch for two people.
