What’s the Outdoor Revolution Kalahari PC 9.0 DSE like?

The Kalahari is an exquisite polycotton family tent that manages to combine size and quality to great effect. It’s a combination that makes this tent the height of camping luxury – and landed it our Luxury Tent of the Year award for 2022.

Despite its size, the Kalahari is surprisingly easy to pitch and comes packed with features. But what we really love about it is its unique double side-annexe feature. The extra rooms are built onto the two sides of the tent, and each can be used as storage space, an extra living area or with an inner tent as a two-berth bedroom. 

The PC 9.0 DSE is based on the best-selling Airedale 9.0 DSE but comes in a technical, breathable polycotton instead of polyester, which gives it a really quality feel. Not only that, but it helps keep down the internal temperature in warm weather while reducing humidity and condensation and cutting down on external noise, especially in the wind.

Of course, the polycotton material makes the tent considerably heavier than its polyester equivalent and, due to its size and weight, you will need at least a couple of people to pitch it. But if you’re using a tent of this size, chances are there will be plenty of spare pairs of hands to lend assistance!

The tunnel layout means pitching is a relatively simple process. Inflation is quick and easy and the pressure relief valve prevents the beams being overinflated or issues caused by pressure changes generated by hot temperatures.
