OUR VIEW A large tent that provides spacious accommodation for a family of five or six. There is one large sleeping pod at one end and two removable, smaller pods opposite, allowing you the flexibility of being able to use some of that space for living or storage. The living area in the middle of the two sleeping sections is generous and the headroom allows you to walk around comfortably. A great family tent at an affordable price.

PITCHING Taking the size into account this is relatively straightforward to put up. The poles are colour-coded that really does help (once you realise a green pole goes with a luminous yellow sleeve!). One person could pitch on their own but realistically you’ll probably need two people to lift the poles into place. It’s then just a question of pegging out the groundsheet and the high-vis, pre-attached guyropes.

LIVING The tent is vis a vis style – meaning there doors are at the side and the two sleeping areas face each other across a central living space. This is roomy enough for a table and chairs but depending on your sleeping requirements you can increase it by removing one or two of the bedroom pods. Light is provided by a three in one window that can be used as a PVC window, solid panel or mesh panel. There is a rain canopy over one of the doors and a  lantern hanging loop.

SLEEPING The sleeping arrangements are flexible, depending on your requirements. At one end there’s a four berth pod and opposite there are two separate two-berth inners. The inner tents are all removable, allowing you to set-up with the configuration that suits you best. With younger children you might want to have them sleeping alongside you, but once they get older they’ll be looking for their own space and that’s where the vis a vis style comes into its own.
