VERDICT A classic inflatable tunnel tent with multiple rooms and loads of flexible living space that’s perfect for long summer holidays at home or abroad PRICE £1,449 |

We first reviewed Coleman’s Weathermaster 8XL Air a couple of years ago. It impressed us then, but the more we use it the more we love it. So much so, we named it Tent Of The Year in our 2022 annual awards – the first time the title has gone to a tent that’s not brand-new.
The main reason we like it so much is its flexibility. It’s a classic inflatable tunnel tent with multiple rooms and loads of living space, perfect for long summer holidays at home or abroad. A family of five can comfortably settle down for a week or two, with plenty of room for furniture and accessories.
The six inflatable beams give it a stable structure, even in strong winds, and there are top-quality materials used throughout.
Coleman’s acclaimed BlackOut Bedrooms are the icing on the cake. According to Coleman, the BlackOut technology blocks up to 99% of daylight and keeps temperatures inside the bedroom 5°C cooler during the day and 1°C warmer at night. It certainly creates a very cosy, cocoon-like atmosphere.
One of the XXL bedrooms converts into two rooms with a removable divider and another bedroom can be repositioned either side of the living area. The enclosed porch extends the already spacious living area and the drop-down door provides a barrier-free access in and out of the tent. The door of the porch can also be totally or partially rolled back and high and low ventilation reduces the risk of condensation.
