Sorry, I’ve been a bit behind the times on this one. It was launched at the start of last year and I’ve been benefiting from it for most of the season – so I can assure you it’s good. It’s really rather clever, too. A four (at least) in one lantern with the Coleman name on it, it features a quartet (yes, that’s the Quad bit) of small (and that must be the Micro) LED lights that are detachable. Each mini-light also comes with a rubber loop (great for attaching to kids’ wrists, honest), so you can literally take one away with you for independence. Or, keep ‘em all together on the base (from which they can also be charged) – they’re magnetic, too – and you do indeed have a lantern (hence, Lantern). Power is via four AA batteries, the base also holds four different coloured lenses.
