Editor’s pick: the top residential park of August 2020 – Avon Estates Marston Edge

The Editor of Park and Holiday Home Inspiration magazine has picked Avon Estates Marston Edge as her top residential park of August 2020.

The words ‘Editor’s Pick’ give me a great excuse to turn the editorial spotlight on some of my favourite places – regions that I recommend you explore for yourself when you are considering where to buy a park home.

Stratford-upon-Avon is close to the top of my favourite places list. Famed for its theatres and restaurants, street markets, riverside walks and fabulous Shakespearean-era architecture, there are countless reasons why living close to Stratford would be utterly fabulous.

That’s why I chose Marston Edge as this issue’s Editor’s Pick of park home estates.

Marston Edge Residential Park Homes, part of the Avon Estates group, is just five miles southwest of Stratford, between the villages of Lower Quinton and Long Marston.

As well as being close to Stratford, the park is on the edge of the Cotswolds, so the array of exquisitely pretty ancient stone villages that make up this region are spread out before you to be explored again and again.

The Cotswolds is well known for its antique centres – and there’s a large and prestigious one with a coffee shop just next door to Marston Edge. Or, you could go antique-seeking in Stratford; there’s a quaint indoor ‘street’ of antique shops and a three-storey enclave of exploration, for starters.

Tempted to make your home in this enchanting region? Marston Edge is a new estate with a good choice of plots. Show homes are there to peruse and prices start from £220,000. When you consider that this is a region of high property prices, befitting its desirability, that’s a pretty reasonable sum for a beautiful new home. Marston Edge is bordered by farmland; a quiet location, yet so close to enchanting Stratford-upon-Avon.
