Holiday Park Profile: Willowbank Holiday Home & Touring Park, Merseyside
In the northwest of England, five miles from the Victorian resort of Southport, and surrounded by natural, dense woodland, lies Willowbank Holiday Home and Touring Park.
Within its 30 acres is a delightful and tranquil holiday home environment. The park’s terrain is completely flat, with plenty of space, not just for holiday home owners, but also for nature to thrive as well.
This region is a treasure trove of things to do, from the traditional resort of Southport with its elegant esplanade of shops and boating lake, to the Formby National Trust area, just over four miles from the park, which not only boasts rare native red squirrels but also a great range of walking routes.
If cycling is your passion, then this delightful stretch of coastline has that covered, too. The park is close to many cycle routes, such as the circular Natterjack Cycle Route, running through Ainsdale on its way from the old Cheshire Lines Railway to Birkdale Nature Reserve (the home of the rare natterjack toad) and then to Southport.
