Holiday park profile: Sutton Vale Country Park

fcf0ccbe-2d14-4a05-81bb-e8be84f59431

A 15-metre indoor swimming pool, eateries and entertainment – it’s all here, and it’s set in six acres of glorious Kent, the county known as the Garden of England. Sutton Vale Country Park is a holiday park in a beautiful region and with a definite family focus.

Sutton Vale’s eateries venue is called the Clubhouse.

An extensive menu is on offer and this is where entertainment takes place in the high season. There’s also a function room within the Clubhouse; this can be hired for your own events.

HOLIDAY HOMES

There’s a good choice of new holiday homes, plus some pre-owned options, too. Examples of new holiday homes include an Atlas Amethyst 4, at £43,995. It’s a 38ft x 12ft home with features including an extractor fan in the main bath-shower room, sockets with USB ports, plus a pull-out bed in the lounge for extra accommodation.

Another example is the Atlas Onyx 3 at £45,995, with an appeal of sophistication. It has a breakfast bar and L-shaped lounge seating.

There’s also an Atlas Debonair 6 available, at £49,995, a holiday home with countryside charm. It has a cosy living area with a farmhouse-style kitchen.

This home has freestanding lounge and dining furniture. Designer reading lights and accent colour headboards are features of the bedrooms.

The Debonair has a similar equipment level to the Amethyst and Onyx.

Sutton Vale Country Park is open for 50 weeks a year. Holiday homes can be hired at Sutton Vale; that’s a good way to get to know the park and also the area before you buy a holiday home here.

THE AREA

Sutton Vale is close to the east coast of Kent, not far from Deal and Walmer and just south of the character town of Sandwich. Dover is close by, too, so day trips (or longer) to France are easy from the park.

Nowhere in Kent is far from the coast – and this county’s coastline offers a huge variety of places to interest you. There are quiet beaches, fishing ports, resorts, and many quaint little places to discover.

The area is rich in attractions and places of interest, making it a splendid location for a holiday home. Wingham Wildlife Park and Howletts Wild Animal Park take care of animal and bird interests.

If you’re keen on historic buildings, there’s Walmer Castle, built as a Tudor fortress. You can explore this one-time home of the Duke of Wellington – and discover the origin of the Wellington boot!

Deal Castle is close by, too. Built for Henry VIII, it is rated as one of England’s finest artillery castles. Deal Castle is one of the oldest of the chain of coastal forts which includes Calshot Castle in Hampshire, Camber in Sussex, Walmer and Pendennis in Cornwall.

The charming Medieval city of Canterbury is just 20 miles from Sutton Vale Country Park. Canterbury has to rate among Britain’s prettiest cities, with a river running through it (boat trips are a delight), spectacular bridges and half-timbered buildings. If shopping’s your thing, you’ve come to the right city. There are lots of places to eat, too.
