Kingsleigh Park

Overlooking the delightfully named Swans Green Recreation Area, Kingsleigh Park has a superbly convenient location, in the village of Thundersley.
Kingsleigh Park has 100 park homes. Prices of homes range from £125,000 to £275,000.

Thundersley is in south east Essex. This village has a long history; it was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 and was at one time known as Thunresleam. It’s an essentially rural village, largely surrounded by woodland and heathland; former common land where local residents used to graze cattle. Walking opportunities are all around.

The heathland of Thundersley Common is known for its rare plants; it’s a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. A waymarked woodland walk leads through the 12-acre Shipwrights Wood, which has its origin in two ancient woodlands; it’s a place of valleys, hollows and ridges. Thundersley Glen, a managed public open space, is a mix of woodland, clearings and hollows.

Thundersley village, within easy walking distance of Kingsleigh Park, has a village store and Post Office. It’s around 35 miles from London; a train journey of about 45 minutes.
Southend-on-Sea is a short distance from the park. This traditional resort has plenty of eateries of all types, many of them on the seafront. Miles of beaches make for superb walking. Southend Pier (pictured here) is the world’s longest pleasure pier, at 1.34 miles; another great place for a walk.

Oxford Park Homes

At Sandford-on-Thames in Oxfordshire, Oxford Park Homes is an estate of 132 homes three miles from Oxford city centre.

Sandford is beside the Thames, a pretty village with an ancient and picturesque church, and plenty of green open space. You can walk to Sandford Lock across a footbridge from the white-painted Kings Arms pub.

Oxford is a beautiful city that you’d never stop exploring. One of its many iconic buildings is pictured here, the circular Radcliffe Camera, which is the main reading room of the university’s Bodleian Library. The name derives from the Latin camera, meaning chamber or room; it was built in the 1730s with money bequeathed by the royal physician, Dr John Radcliffe.

Oxford Park Homes is adjacent to Oxford Science Park and the multiplex cinema complex. A regular bus service stops at the entrance to the park.

Prices of homes here are from £125,000 to £275,000.
