Hobby reveals 2023-season motorhomes and campervans

German manufacturer, Hobby, has revealed its 2023 line-up of motorhomes and campervans, which includes a mix of bestsellers and new vehicles

The most significant news is the arrival of an all-new campervan called the Hobby Maxia Van, which will be officially launched at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, Germany, at the end of August.

The Maxia name hints at what to expect from the interior of the campervan – it is based on the larger VW Crafter base vehicle so will be offering more internal space than traditional campers.

Some Hobby customers will be familiar with the Maxia name, which is used by Hobby for its premium class of caravans and features a Scandinavian design and coordinated colour schemes.

Hobby Vantana OnTour Edition and Vantana De Luxe campervans

Hobby is also continuing with its Vantana OnTour Edition and Vantana De Luxe campervans, which will be available with two different layouts at the start of the 2023 season. In addition to the bed being arranged lengthwise (K65 ET) or crosswise (K60 FT) in the vehicle, a choice of three different upholstery/furniture finishes is available.

Highlights like an extra-wide panoramic roof vent in the De Luxe will be available on the 2023-season campervans.

The entry-level OnTour Edition model boasts an extensive range of standard equipment, including an awning, a navigation system including integrated reversing camera and a satellite system including TV.

Hobby Optima De Luxe motorhomes

Last season kicked off with a makeover of the interior design of Hobby's motorhome range: the completely redesigned Optima De Luxe was the first motorhome to feature Hobby’s Scandinavian 'hygge' design, which, Hobby says, won many customers over with its clean furniture lines, perfectly coordinated colour schemes and stylish interior.

The manufacturer says customers were equally impressed by the revamped exterior design featuring a new roof scoop and dynamic indicators at the rear. So it comes as no surprise that Hobby has made no changes to the Optima De Luxe for the 2023 season.

Meanwhile, the best-selling motorhome, the Optima OnTour Edition, is also unchanged for the new season. It features Hobby’s inclusive package, which includes a navigation and satellite system, awning, pleated blinds and many other extras besides.
