Laika Ecovip L 3019 motorhome

The Ecovip is Laika’s best-selling range and the line-up has now been redesigned and expanded to 21 models, including this low-profile 3019.

All models (low profiles and A-classes) get a new contemporary and stylish external automotive design, plus a brand-new luxurious internal furniture concept.

You also get a choice of two furniture colours and a load of fabric options.

There’s also the addition of campervans to the Ecovip range for this season.

As with the entire Ecovip line-up (except the campervans), buyers can opt to have the same layout in either a low-profile (denoted by the L in the name) or an A-class (H) body.

Both are constructed using a wood-free subframe with aluminium external walls and extruded polystyrene foam insulation. Laika also lines all its roofs in hail-protection fibreglass and fits a fibreglass sub-floor to all its coachbuilt models.

Regardless of whether it is a low-profile or A-class, all models also get a double-floor, which means there is a step-free floor area and essential equipment is protected in a frost-free compartment.

The 3019, which is 6.99m long, has a traditional front L-shaped half-dinette lounge complemented with twin swivel cab captain’s seats and a side-facing sofa on the nearside.

Centrally located is the kitchen with a curved scratch and fingerprint-resistant worktop with a three-burner gas hob and circular stainless-steel sink, undercounter lighting and multiple soft-close storage options beneath.

Alongside is a full-sized 140-litre Trivalent AES fridge/freezer and opposite is the washroom featuring a washbasin with storage below, shower with wooden duckboard and swivel toilet.

At the rear are twin single beds (1.93m by 0.82m and 1.91m by 0.82m) with USB outlets for each bed, which sit above a garage with a payload of 250kg.

There is also an optional drop-down double bed in the lounge.

Laika Ecovip H 4112 DS motorhome

Sitting in Laika’s best-selling Ecovip range is the H 4112 DS – a 7.4m-long, 120bhp Fiat Ducato-based flagship Ecovip A-class (completely restyled from the ground-up this year) with a rear island bed layout.

As with all Ecovip coachbuilts, this layout is also available as a low-profile.

Befitting a luxury A-class, the equipment levels and standard specification are extremely high in this four-berth model.

In the rear, there is an almost domestic-sized double bed (1.9m by 1.5m), which sits above a huge triple-access garage that has a 250kg payload – enough for a moped.

The second bed, which drops down above the cab, is almost as generous at 1.8m by 1.5m.

At the foot of the rear island bed is the shower on one side and the WC opposite.

Ahead of this is the kitchen with a curved scratch and fingerprint-resistant worktop with a four-burner gas hob and circular stainless-steel sink inset, undercounter lighting and soft-close storage beneath.

Opposite is a 140-litre AES fridge/freezer and at the front are the twin facing sofas with a dining table between them.

The 5009 is a low-profile, Ducato-based coachbuilt built on an Al-Ko chassis.

This 7.69m-long model has a twin rear bed layout with the shower cubicle at the foot of the nearside bed and the WC at the foot of the other.

Centrally located is the high-spec kitchen with a three-burner hob and AES fridge/freezer.

At the front is an L-shaped dinette and a side-facing sofa opposite, which all face the large multi-adjustable dining table.

As with all Kreos models, interior headroom is a class-leading 2.10m and all are step-free inside thanks to a heated double floor.
