First 2025 UK heatwave: top campsites with great deals
The UK is heading into its hottest period of the year so far, with temperatures expected to soar above 30 degrees.
The Met Office has confirmed that a UK heatwave could be declared as early as this week, as high pressure builds across the country bringing dry conditions and longer sunshine.
What the forecast suggests
The UK weather forecast shows that the warmest conditions will be centred on the east and southeast regions of England, with peak temperatures potentially reaching 33 degrees in places like East Anglia and the Midlands. Northern regions, such as Scotland and Northern Ireland, will see more moderate temperatures, but the whole of the UK can expect a noticeable rise and plenty of sunshine.
A UK heatwave is officially defined as three consecutive days of temperatures exceeding their regional thresholds and with weekend temperatures set to surpass this, campsites across the UK will be in high demand.
