Explore North Yorkshire: a top spot for caravanners
North Yorkshire has cemented its place as one of Britain’s most desirable holiday destinations after attracting a record-breaking 32 million visitors in 2024 – the highest in its history.
According to new figures released this week, the surge in visitors follows the launch of the region’s first-ever Destination Management Plan (DMP), which brought together city, town and rural tourism strategies.
The result: a sustainable, year-round tourism boom and a golden opportunity for caravanners to enjoy everything the region has to offer.
The North Yorkshire appeal
With its coastlines, national parks and market towns, North Yorkshire’s appeal has always been varied, but this new growth is suggested to be driven by smarter infrastructure, better marketing and improved accessibility.
Caravanners benefit most from the region’s commitment to off-peak travel and its scenic countryside routes – and there’s no shortage of excellent places to pitch up.
