Europe, microcaravans and beyond: the latest models this year
The 2026 caravan season is already shaping up to be a landmark year for caravanning, with launches from several UK manufacturers (read more) already announced. But now we have news from European and other UK manufacturers who are now unveiling a host of new models and upgrades.
From retro-styled micro-tourers to sustainable lightweight builds, the latest caravans bring smarter technology, more flexible layouts and design touches that reflect how modern caravanners want to holiday today.
Here’s a round-up of various European caravan manufacturers, plus others which have now confirmed new models for 2026.
Knaus Tabbert group
German giant, Knaus Tabbert, is rolling out significant updates across its caravan ranges for 2026:
- Knaus Südwind Black Selection expands with new layouts (580 UF, 580 UK, 650 UDF). This special edition features high-grade interiors, LED ambient lighting and a Campovolo grey exterior finish with black accents
- Knaus Sport gets extended equipment as standard – including upgraded cabin doors, insect screen, vent windows and a rollable 25L waste tank
- Weinsberg CaraOne is refreshed with a new interior design, including stylish grey/colour accent schemes, marble-effect washrooms and 11 layout choices (from compact two-berths to bunk bed family caravans).
- Tabbert Pantiga Finest Edition debuts as a premium model with six layouts, a luxury sleeping system, integrated ambient lighting and full Al-Ko safety systems
- Tabbert Cazadora expands with four new layouts – including compact couples’ caravans and family-focused bunk bed models
Capsule Mini
Exclusive to Leeds Caravan Centre, the Capsule Mini returns for 2026 with no major spec changes but a refreshed price point of £17,995. The popular micro-caravan continues to be offered in standard or Retro spec, with four colour options (Glacier White, Stone Grey, Burnt Orange and Olive Green).
Each model comes as standard with a galvanised Al-Ko chassis, 12V compressor fridge, sink/hob unit, portable toilet and mains sockets with USB charging. The Capsule Mini stays within the lightweight category at 750kg MTPLM, making it towable by most small cars.
Customisation is where it shines: options include an off-grid pack, PowrTouch motor mover, stabiliser hitch, GPS tracker, dual-fuel heating, BBQ point and full awning set-up.
Barefoot
Hand-built in Worcestershire, Barefoot Caravans will launch its first new model since its original teardrop-styled classic: the Barefoot Bothy. Priced at £25,500, this three-berth caravan is set to debut at the October NEC Show (14 - 19 Oct, Hall 11) alongside the Country Living Barefoot.
The Bothy weighs in at just 707kg-720kg unladen (depending on spare wheel fitment), with a towing weight set at either 750kg or 850kg to suit different drivers. Like the original Barefoot, it offers a bespoke body colour and upholstery range, but with more space inside – designed to “feel huge” while still remaining ultra-compact and stylish.
Hobby
Hobby enters 2026 with a redesigned caravan line-up and smarter technology.
Key updates include:
- New upholstery, cushion sets and carpets across the range, except for the Maxia line which was updated in 2025
- The De Luxe 460 SFf and 460 SL plus Excellent 460 SL now feature rear washrooms with folding shower screens and tambour doors
- Kitchen splashbacks are updated with multiple USB ports and sockets
Hobby’s flagship caravans also now integrate the HobbyConnect 7in smart panel, allowing owners to control heating, lighting, water and more via the app or on-board touchscreen.
Easy Caravanning
The Dutch-built Easy Caravanning GetAway continues into 2026, but now available in three versions: Active, Sport and Xcite, which weighs as little as 680kg, yet offers strong payload capacity.
Its construction uses high-grade foams and lightweight alloys, making it moisture-resistant, durable and ideal for towing with electric or smaller cars. The pop-top design gives full standing height while retaining a streamlined profile for fuel efficiency.
There have also been changes to include automatic roof storage closures, run-flat tyres (on Xcite) and integrated wardrobe/washroom dividers.
Go-Pod
The much-loved Go-Pod Classic micro-caravan continues into 2026 with its fuss-free, lightweight formula. Starting at £15,995, it comes in a one-size-fits-all white GRP monocoque shell with neutral interior finishes.
The Classic model is sold from stock, meaning buyers can pick one up with as little as one week’s lead time, or pre-arrange handover up to three months in advance. While simple at entry level, Go-Pod offers a wide accessories list so owners can spec it out to their personal style.
The 2026 outlook
From ultra-light micro-tourers like the Capsule Mini and Go-Pod, to premium European giants like Knaus, Tabbert and Hobby, the caravan market in 2026 is defined by lightweight builds, smarter technology and lifestyle-focused design.
With several new models debuting at Caravan Salon Düsseldorf (29 August to 7 September, 2025) and the NEC Motorhome & Caravan Show (14 to 19 October, 2025), UK buyers will soon have their first chance to step inside these 2026 releases.
