Elddis, Buccaneer and Xplore reveal 2026 caravan line-up
Erwin Hymer Group has revealed its 2026 caravan portfolio, blending retro heritage with modern innovation.
Well-known Elddis names from the past, including Whirlwind, Hurricane, Shamal and Solano, are making a comeback, while the flagship Buccaneer brand gains the new Skyliner and Starliner, whilst also undergoing a minor rebranding to its logo and design.
Whirlwind
The Whirlwind range sits at the affordable end of the Elddis offering, aimed at buyers seeking value without compromising on comfort.
In total there are six layouts: the two-berth 520, two single-axle four-berths (550 and 554), plus three eight-foot-wide twin-axles, the four-berth 840 and 860, then lastly the six-berth 868.
For those wanting additional kit, the optional Evolve package adds items such as a roof-mounted extractor fan, Al-Ko Secure wheel locks, solar panel, alarm system, WiFi, external 230V socket, barbecue point and outdoor shower.
Prices start from £23,999
Avante Apex
Replacing the long-standing Avante line, the new Avante Apex mirrors the Whirlwind’s six layouts but lifts the specification.
All models feature silver-finished side walls, a panoramic “stargazer” rooflight, heavy-duty corner steadies, security tracking system, external service points and Al-Ko Secure wheel locks. A solar panel, external shower, barbecue point and on-board WiFi are also included as standard.
Crusader
The Crusader family now absorbs the outgoing Affinity range, expanding to eight models. Five single-axle layouts sit alongside three twin-axles, with widths ranging from 2.23m to 2.43m.
Highlights include the Hurricane, Solano, Shamal, Aurora and Mistral models.
Twin-axle variants include the Borealis (L-shaped lounge), Zephyr (rear bedroom) and Tempest (six-berth). Alde heating is also fitted across the board, with air-conditioning and leather upholstery available as extras on selected models.
Prices start from £30,938
Buccaneer
Skyliner vs Starliner
For 2026, the Buccaneer flagship line is split into two spec levels. Both Skyliner and Starliner models share the brand’s hallmark eight-foot width and automatic self-levelling, but Starliners ride on a heavier chassis for a greater payload and come with added luxury features.
Skyliner models include:
- Aruba (six-berth) – £47,500
- Barracuda (rear bedroom) – £46,999
- Bermuda (transverse bed, L-shaped lounge) – £46,999
- Commodore (parallel lounge, rear bedroom) – £45,999
- Cruiser (rear washroom) – £45,999
Starliner models, the Aruba, Barracuda and Cruiser, gain bedroom TVs, upgraded mattresses, air-conditioning and the option of leather upholstery in two finishes. Prices range from £49,699 to £50,999.
