Club launches new UK escorted tours

The Caravan and Motorhome Club has added three new escorted tours across the UK for its members

Available exclusively to Club members, the tour prices start from £849 for an outfit and two people, including Club campsite pitch fees, Blue Badge guided tours, tour hosts accompanying the group, and entrance and transport to and from excursions.

The three new UK tours for 2023 include:

Edinburgh Military Tattoo Escorted Tour – a three-night tour departing on 8 August (priced from £849), taking in all that the historic city of Edinburgh has to offer. The tour begins at Edinburgh Club campsite and includes a walking tour of the city and a pre-show dinner ahead of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

Royal Palaces and Historic Buildings Escorted Tour – a nine-night tour departing on 1 June (priced from £1,449), beginning at Abbey Wood Club campsite in London. Whilst the site is within walking distance to the new Elizabeth line for fast transport into central London, excursions also include a trip to the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace, an afternoon at Kensington Palace and a tour of the Tower of London.

Tourers will then move onto the Henley Four Oaks Club campsite in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, for tours around Oxford’s colleges, Blenheim Palace, Windsor Castle and a river cruise along the River Thames.

Yorkshire and Kynren Escorted Tour – an eight-night tour departing on 12 August and 2 September (priced from £1,349), combining history, architecture and majestic scenery. This tour starts at York Beechwood Grange Club campsite, with a visit to the North York Moors Railway and Castle Howard. Other excursions include a guided tour of the city and York Minster Cathedral, followed by a trip to Jorvik Viking Centre and the valley of Wensleydale.

Tourers will then move onto Teesdale Barnard Castle Club campsite in County Durham, with evening entertainment provided by the Kynren show, an outdoor performance deemed an ‘epic tale of England’.
