Caravan Guard supports homeless community with meal donations

Caravan insurance specialists, Caravan Guard, have made a significant charitable contribution this holiday season.

Their donation is directed towards the Happy Days Community Café in Halifax, a local organisation dedicated to providing nutritious meals to those in need.

Donation Impact

Caravan Guard pledged £1,550 to the café, which was subsequently doubled to £3,100 through the Big Give Campaign.

This generous donation allows over 1,200 meals to be served during the winter months, significantly impacting the local community.

Community Support

Head Chef Gav, known for his creativity, prepares a variety of meals using ingredients donated or sourced through the Fareshare programme.

His innovative dishes range from duck ragout to Bao buns and even mac and cheese made from cheese strings.

During Christmas week, Caravan Guard’s donation will enable the café to serve traditional Christmas dinners while also supporting the Happy Days Winter Shelter which offers a safe haven for those in crisis during the colder months.

Organisational Values

It’s amazing what can be cooked up from basic ingredients and how heart warming to see how grateful those who are fed at the café are,

We’re proud to support Happy Days and the incredible work they do with vulnerable and homeless people throughout our local town.

Caravan Guard’s Associate Director, Laura Wilby, said they were delighted to be able to provide a substantial meal to those in need this winter.

Community Engagement

This donation will make a huge difference to many people who often just need a warm meal and a place to chat,

We’re super grateful to Laura and all the staff at Caravan Guard for making such a positive difference and caring completely.
