What goes into a caravan or motorhome?
If you've ever wondered about some of the components that go into making a motorhome or caravan, then tune into Bailey's social media accounts over the next two weeks (9-19 May). The caravan and motorhome manufacturer's Marketing Director, Simon Howard, and Brand Ambassador, Lee Davey, will be undertaking a two-week tour covering 2,000 miles with stops at seven of its suppliers in the UK and Europe.
The tour starts on Monday, 9 May at BCA Leisure, which makes electrical wiring harnesses, control panels and fixtures. If you're interested in doors and worktops then tune in on Tuesday, 10 May for a visit to Quinton & Kaynes.
There's a visit to Thetford UK (ovens and fridges) on Wednesday, 11 May, with a look at the soft furnishings of Belfield Leisure on Thursday, 12 May.
Crossing the Channel, the Bailey duo will reach Truma on Monday, 16 May to talk about heating systems, gas regulators, solar panels and various accessories. Then it's a short hop to Al-Ko Kober to look at chassis, with the tour finishing at Thetford (for its cassette toilets) on Thursday, 19 May.
Each visit will include an interview and a tour of the premises.
Simon Howard, Bailey of Bristol, said,
The key challenge facing most businesses at the moment is maintaining its supply chain. Bailey is no different, with up to 12,000 individual parts from over 100 companies going to make up one of our vehicles. We have, however, been working closely with our key partners during this period to minimise disruption, and we thought that now would be a good time to visit some of them in person to see how they are responding to these challenges.
