Awards presented to top caravan workshops at the NEC Caravan Show
Two caravan workshops have been recognised for excellence in customer service and high standards of work at this year’s Approved Workshop Scheme (AWS) awards. There are currently over 550 fixed and mobile Approved Workshops across the UK. You can search here to find your local approved workshop or to check whether your chosen workshop is a current member.
Kirk Caravan Services, based in Lanark, Lanarkshire, won the AWS Fixed Workshop of the Year 2024. The company has been an AWS member since 2013. Kurt's Mobile Caravan Services, operating near Thirsk, North Yorkshire, received the AWS Mobile Workshop of the Year 2024 award. Both workshops had previously been finalists in 2022 and 2023.
The awards are judged on compliance with AWS requirements, customer reviews and votes, and independent assessments. AWS Scheme Manager Reece Wigmore said: “The awards are really important because they celebrate the work carried out by companies within the Approved Workshop Scheme."
The awards were sponsored by Engineer Insurance and Aftercare. Managing Director Martyn Raybould said: “We exclusively use AWS workshops to secure the industry’s best available engineers and supporting the awards was a natural next step, along with becoming an NCC member to grow our business.”
Finalists included:
- Tourer Techs Caravan Services, Somerset (winner in 2023)
- Caravan Motorhome Care Services, Bristol
- Cara-Fix Midlands, Staffordshire (winner in 2022, finalist in 2021 and 2023)
- JB Caravan and Trailer Services, Staffordshire (winner in 2021 and 2023, finalist in 2022)
The awards were presented at the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC Birmingham on Wednesday, 19 February.
