Twentieth birthday for Riverside Caravan Park near Exmoor

A family favourite, and award-winning campsite, Riverside Caravan & Camping Park & Country Club celebrates its twentieth birthday in 2026. The success of this north-Devon based campsite can be attributed in part to the development the campsite’s owners have undertaken on site, the core family values that they believe in, and its popular location just south of Exmoor National Park.
As well as joining the quality campsite group, Premier Parks, for 2026, Riverside will host a series of commemorative special events throughout the year, enabling its guests to join in the celebrations.

20 years of family history
A shared vision for a place for others to enjoy great family holidays, the campsite was built from scratch on a 70-acre piece of farmland and a scrapyard. Owners, Joe and Nicky, set about turning the dream into a reality, with their children, Francesca and Hamileen, on board for the ride, too!
The first buildings to be constructed were the house, a small shop, a shower block, an access road and a storage compound. Once these were complete, Riverside Caravan & Camping Park & Country Club officially opened in 2006.
Over the next 20 years extra pitches followed, another shower block, holiday homes, a play area, and the restaurant/bar that forms the country club aspect of this campsite. A series of fishing lakes were also added when Hamileen developed a passion for angling.
Continued development and celebrations
Additions to the campsite will continue in 2026 – expect to see luxury holiday homes, new pitches and accessible fishing lakes – all in the pipeline as Joe and Nicky begin to hand the reins over to Francesca and Hamileen.
"We want to stay true to our roots while embracing the future. We’re investing in experiences that are sustainable, memorable and meaningful – for families now and for generations to come, just like our grandparents did for us."
A packed calendar of events will be unveiled during 2026, including the 20th Anniversary Weekend celebrations. Taking place over the August Bank Holiday, guests can expect live music, children's entertainment, a selection of great food, and much more!
