Introduction: Camping destinations in Norfolk

Norfolk boasts miles of unspoilt coastline, beautiful countryside, forests and heathland as well as nature reserves, birdwatching, walking and cycling.
On top of that is a selection of seaside resorts, ranging from quaint villages like Wells next the Sea, through bigger towns like Cromer and Sheringham to the bright lights of Great Yarmouth. The big city of Norwich has lots to offer, with its heritage, culture and shopping.
Many visitors come to the county for the tranquillity of Norfolk Broads, while the north Norfolk coastline – an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – is a campers’ paradise.
Local food specialities include Norfolk Ginger biscuits, treacle tarts made with black treacle and Nelson slices. At the coast seafood is aplenty, you can catch yourself some crabs at Cromer. Norfolk is also the home of Coleman’s Mustard and of course the county is famed for its turkey, thanks in no small part to Bernard Matthews.
And did you know Norfolk has more microbreweries than anywhere else in the UK?
