Campervan owners 'earn over £50k' from renting

Well, apparently it can – and it’s not an insignificant amount, either.

Campervan ownership is already proving to be a lucrative side hustle for many people, with many campervan owners said to be earning upwards of £10,000 a year by renting out their campervans and some are enjoying an income of more than £50k.

That is according to peer-to-peer hire and motorhome-sharing community, Camplify, whose analysts compared search data with website page impressions and fleet saturation in locations across the country.

According to the data, campervan owners in London have the strongest chance to capitalise on the growing trend of campervan hire and earn a substantial side income by listing their vehicles on the platform.

London leads the pack as the most searched destination on the Camplify website, ranks top on searches for campervan hire and is also the most visited page on the site.

According to Camplify, many owners earn more than £10,000 in their first year on the platform while some bring in upwards of £50,000 per year.
