What to see at the Motorhome and Caravan Show 2019
The Motorhome and Caravan Show – coming to Birmingham’s NEC between 15-20 October - is the UK’s biggest leisure vehicle event.
If you’re heading to the show, here’s a quick guide to some of the best things to see and do, helping you to make the most of your visit.

Expert advice on choosing a motorhome or campervan
If you’re thinking of buying a motorhome for the first time, make sure you watch the presentation from What Motorhome editor and MMM road test editor Peter Vaughan. Peter will be speaking about everything you need to consider when buying a motorhome – including layouts, base vehicles and the vast range of choice.
You can see Peter’s talk at 11.30am in the Live Theatre, Hall 9 on Wednesday 16 October.
View all Erwin Hymer Group brands on display
For the very first time, all Erwin Hymer Group brands will be on show together. Head to Hall 20 to view the full range from EHG, which includes new 2020 season motorhomes from Bürstner, Carado, Compass, Dethleffs, Elddis, Etrusco, Hymer, Laika and Sunlight.
New 2020 campervan launches
There will be huge interest in some of the new campervan models for 2020 being launched at the NEC. Among the must-sees are the right-hand drive form of the VW Grand California, the Vantage Sky – a unique rear lounge van conversion with a drop-down bed – and models from IH, which include the first rear travel-seat layouts from the luxury van conversion specialists. Keep a look out, too, for the Rolling Homes Expedition, a 4x4 VW T6 that comes with lots of specialist off-road gear.
New 2020 motorhome launches
The Motorhome and Campervan Show is definitely the place to be for the 2020 season launches, with a number of manufacturers showcasing their new models. Bailey, Coachman, Morelo, Swift, Adria and Knaus are all hosting live product launches. Meanwhile, exciting models to view include:

Book a Campervan test drive session
If you’ve never driven a campervan before – or just fancy perfecting your skills – then book a free test drive session. The Caravan and Motorhome Club are hosting 20-minute taster session, under the expert tuition of its instructors. Interested? Just head to stand 7.12 – and don’t forget to bring your driving licence.
The Caravan and Motorhome Club are also hosting motorhome manoeuvring sessions.
Special guest star appearances
There’s a packed list of special guests at the Motorhome and Caravan Show, with appearances from endurance athlete Mark Beaumont – who cycled around the world in 78 days and 14 hours – TV presenters Michaela Strachan and Helen Skelton, adventurer Monty Halls and GB Paralympian and ultra-endurance athlete Mel Nicholls. Making another appearance, after their successful visit to the show back in February, are loveable English Springer Spaniel trio Max, Paddy and Harry.
